Ranked 5s · Riot dev update May 2026
LoL Ranked 5s — prepare your five-stack
Riot is bringing back Ranked 5s: a dedicated ranked queue for full five-stacks. LoL Tracker stays focused on Flex squads today, and we're preparing team tracking for Ranked 5s as soon as the queue is live in the API.
No inflated promises — automated Ranked 5s history depends on Riot exposing queue IDs and match data. Until then, use Flex tracking, scrim imports and our draft tools to keep your roster sharp.

Official context
What Riot announced
The /dev article "The Return of Ranked 5s" (27 May 2026) confirms the mode is coming back for organized five-stacks — separate from Flex, with its own ranked identity.
Your squad
Why track as a team
Ranked 5s is played as a unit. Shared match history, role-fair MVP scores and champion pool trends matter more than five disconnected solo profiles.
LoL Tracker
What works today
Flex 5 tracking, scrim imports, TeamScore, AI Coach and champion pool analytics are live now — the same systems that will power Ranked 5s once Riot opens the pipe.
What to do before Ranked 5s goes live
Use the weeks before launch to stabilize how your stack reviews games. Flex queue already mirrors five-stack discipline — treat it as your practice ranked format.
- Create a free team page from one Riot ID — we detect your regular five-stack.
- Review MVP Score and role stats after each session instead of arguing from memory.
- Import scrims when you play customs — draft prep and comp habits carry into Ranked 5s.
How LoL Tracker will support Ranked 5s
When Riot exposes Ranked 5s in the API, we'll attach the queue to your existing team page: same MVP logic, same champion pool view, same AI Coach — no second product to learn.
- Automatic match import for your five-stack (pending official queue ID).
- Separate Flex vs Ranked 5s views when both queues are active.
- Leaderboard context for competitive stacks that want public comparison.
FAQ
Is Ranked 5s available in LoL Tracker today?
Not automatically yet. We're waiting for Riot to ship the queue and expose it through the API. Flex 5 tracking is fully live in the meantime.
Can I still use LoL Tracker for my five-stack?
Yes. Most stacks already queue Flex together. You get match history, MVP scores, champion pools and optional scrim tracking on one team page.
Will Ranked 5s replace Flex tracking?
No. They're complementary queues. Your team page will support both once Ranked 5s data is available — see our Ranked 5s vs Flex comparison for the differences.
Where does Riot document Ranked 5s?
Start with Riot's /dev post "The Return of Ranked 5s" (27 May 2026) for official timing and design intent. We'll update this page when queue IDs are public.
