What is Ranked 5s?

Riot brought back Ranked 5s as a weekend five-stack queue on Summoner's Rift: premade vs premade, tournament draft and fewer games than Flex, but each block matters more. Here is what changed in this iteration.

Weekend queue windows

Ranked 5s is open on weekends only, from 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM in each region's local server time. Riot runs fixed windows so more five-stacks queue at the same time, which keeps matchmaking and queue times healthier than the old always-on version.

Any five friends, no locked roster

You do not need the same five every queue anymore. Ranked 5s lets any group of friends play together, regardless of individual ranks. Riot balances large skill gaps at matchmaking level rather than blocking mixed-rank parties. Riot's Ranked 5s dev update explains why the queue was redesigned this way.

Tournament Draft in champ select

Instead of standard Ranked draft, Ranked 5s uses Tournament Draft: 3 bans, 3 picks, 2 bans, 2 picks. Teams can protect counterpicks, hide strategies and adapt to opponents instead of autopiloting solo-queue champ select habits.

One team history, cleaner reviews when you need them

Your stack may play Flex during the week and Ranked 5v5 on serious nights. LoL Tracker keeps both in one team page, then lets Tryhard and Pro teams filter by queue when they want to review one format properly.

  • Flex and Ranked 5s tracked together.
  • Queue filters unlocked on Tryhard and Pro.
  • Scrims import separately on Pro for practice blocks.

Ranked 5s, Flex and scrims stay on one team page with separate filters. Public TeamScore remains Flex-only. LoL Tracker only imports games where your full roster queued together.

Do not turn Ranked 5v5 into another Flex mess

This mode is more fun when your stack takes it seriously. Not necessary in full tryhard, just enough structure to stop repeating the same mistakes every session. LoL Tracker gives your team one page to review the block, fix obvious patterns, and set goals before the next queue.

FAQ

Does LoL Tracker track Ranked 5s games?
Yes. LoL Tracker is built for five-stack teams across Flex, Ranked 5v5 and scrims. Create your team page and every format your roster plays feeds the same dashboard with queue filters.
How is this different from op.gg or solo trackers?
Solo trackers optimize for one account. LoL Tracker optimizes for the roster: shared history, team-level trends, MVP scores and AI Coach that reads your stack's games.
Do Ranked 5v5 games affect the public leaderboard?
No. Public TeamScore is Flex-only. Ranked 5v5 stats power your private team reviews and AI Coach.
We also play Flex and scrims. One page?
Exactly. One team page, queue-specific filters. See our Ranked 5v5 vs Flex comparison or custom scrim tracker for the full picture.
Why track Ranked 5s if we play less than Flex?
Because each Ranked 5v5 block is team-pure: five-stack lobby, tournament draft, weekend matchmaking. Less noise per game makes reviews faster even with smaller sample sizes.
